Symantec Mail Security Virus Definitions

Hi,

Here is the query,

1. How the Symantec Mail Security (SMS) receives the Virus Definitions?

2. Is that SMS and SEP are in same definitions?

3. SMS installed in exchange server, will it receive the virus definition from SEP installed in the same machine?

4. If the above question is (3) is correct, Will SEP12.1.4112 antivirus definition support the current SMS version (6.5.6.268) or do we have any advanced version...?
