We are looking into updating our current Endpoint Protection Manger server from Server 2003 R2 running SEPM 12.1.1 to a Server 2012 R2 running 12.1.5. Would it be best to follow the Chetan article moving the server using the disaster recovery method of moving the database and required information? By doing this route will the 12.1.1 clients still be able to communicate with the newer instance of the server until they can be updated to the new client version? Or perhaps updating the 2003 machine first and then doing the migration to the new server?
