run a virus scan on server using endpoint protection

I have a machine running Microsoft Server 2012 OS.  I need to be able to run virus scans on the server itself, NOT on client machines.  I was told that Endpoint Protection is what I want.  Having installed the trial version, to evaluate, it is unclear how to invoke this functionality...or even if it exists.  What do I need to do to set-up the anti-virus capability and launch a scan locally on the server?
