Call Detail Record DIs and Policies

Call Data Rate are logs generated by telecom equipment to log mobile phone service usage. These logs include details like phone numbers, IMEI, IMSI, Called Party Number, Tower location, IP assigned (if data traffic), Destination IP (if data traffic) etc. This information is originally in binary format but mediation softwares converts it into human readable format which is then used primarily for billing. However it is also used by law enforcements agencies and businesses for product analysis, product ideas and pdoduct targeting. The data is highly sensitive as it gives not only a person’s call and internet history but also his location throughout the day and cannot be disclosed to anyone without legal authorization in most countries. The data is generally sought after by press to track presence of suspects at crime scene in high profile legal cases, and political opponents/press for tracking VIP politician whereabouts/movements.

We should have CDR realted Data Identifiers as part of DLP's defual collection of DIs. Further some basic DLP policies must also be inluded which must be enabled when we import telecom policy pack.
