Performance of SSDs with Symantec Endpoint Encryption

Basically, is there any merit still to this HOWTO article?

Should I uncheck "Include unused disk space..." for encrypting SSDs, and leave it checked for encrypting mechanical HDDs? 

I'm using SEE 11.0.1.
