Weird scenerio coming up!
Was installing the lastest version of SEP Version - 12.1. RU4 MP1a (12.1.4104.4130) on Server 2003 SP2 Standard Edition, but during the last stage of the install when Symantec services are being started the install fails with the 1920 Error (SepMasterService) Verify you have sufficient privilleges. The install was being done with a domain admin account with local admin rights etc...so permissions shouldn't have been an issue.
Tried troubleshooting steps to get it installed but couldn't. As a last resort decided to try a previous version of SEP 12.1.2015.2015. It installed perfectly without any issues. According to this article http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH216260#SEPClientWinSysReq Windows Server 2003 (32-bit, 64-bit, R2, SP1 or later) is supported.
Any reason why the latest version wouldn't install but the previous version would?
