Email Prevent Redirect Mailbox Unavailable (What happens to message?)

Oui, j'ai besoin d'une solution

Hello all:

I have a client that is currently implementing Network Prevent for Email 12.5. They will be activating a response rule that will block any violating email(s) and will redirect designated message to an administrator's in-box.

The questions is: what happens to the message when the redirect in-box is unavailable?

My assumption is that the violating email would still be blocked, as per the response rule, message is sent back to MTA and redirects the email to the designated administrator's in-box.

If the designated in-box is unavailable I can surmise that the MTA will continue attempts to deliver the message until a timeout or until the in-box becomes available again so the message can be successfully delivered. (Depending upon the configuration)

Am I correct in my assumptions? Please advise.

Thanks in advance!
